People encouraged to Check if They Are Eligible for Water Charge Exemptions

For most properties rainwater from buildings and streets ends up in the public sewers but for some this is not the case. Gwent AM Michael German is encouraging the public to check whether they are eligible for water charge exemptions, after learning that 'if none of your rainwater drains to the public sewer then you will be exempt from this element of your charges'.

Winter Fuel Payments Should be Extended to Families on Low Incomes

A local Assembly Member has called for an extension to the Winter Fuel Payments for those on income support, or those who receive a premium for disability or long-term sickness, as more and more people in Wales are plunged into fuel poverty this winter.
